  2. This alarm clock / iPOD system is very stylish and is the right size for any bedroom nightstand. The sound is great! There are a few technical things that make it pretty annoying and complicated. First, it isn’t the easiest to set the alarm. Luckily, I get up at the same time every day and don’t have to reset it. Plus, whenever you go to set the Alarm, the Clock will change to AM if it is in the PM. Very weird! Also, there is no 24/12 indicator and for some reason 12:30 AM is displayed as 00:30. I’ve gotten used to it, but it took awhile.

  3. I haven’t written a product review before but I felt compelled to write one for this clock in order to warn people about the problems with this product.

I bought this alarm clock because I really liked the shape and the fact that it doubles as an iPod player. Well, that’s all that it has going for it. There are MAJOR problems with this product:

    1. The display is so bright that it is blinding. There is no way to turn the brightness down.

    2. Setting the time on the clock was rather confusing. I kept having to refer to the manual. Was I setting the time, the alarm, was it on AM or PM? It all was rather confusing. I think that the confusion could be solved by a simple am/pm/alarm sticker on the display with a little red dot going to the appropriate item, or something similar to that.

    3. Turning the alarm setting on and off is not simple or user friendly. I kept having to pull the pamplet out and re-read the instructions on how to turn the alarm feature off. I think that the manufacturer failed to think about that most people would need to turn the alarm setting on and off, as most of us have days off from work and don’t want to wake up every morning at the same time.

    4. If you want to play your iPod, you need to switch it to iPod mode. When in iPod mode, the clock display goes off after one minute. Now why on earth would I want my clock to turn off while I was playing my iPod? I still want to know what time it is when my iPod is playing, oh and go ahead and get the manual back out in order to figure out how to take it off of iPod mode, because if you don’t, you are liable to change some other setting that you didn’t realize that you were changing (it happened to me).

Using this alarm clock was a very frustrating experience. I never thought that an alarm clock would be so difficult to use. I plugged in my old alarm clock again and this one is sitting back in the box, ready to be returned.
